شرح بسيط جدا لدرس Gerund and Infinitive مع تمارين تفاعلية.

Gerund and Infinitive Second Year Baccalaureate

هناك ثلاثة صيغ (forms) لكل في اللغة الإنجليزية و هي (gerund) و (infinitive) و (infinitive without to):

1. صيغة (gerund) هي بكل بساطة (verb+ing) مثل: (palying) و (taking) و (working) و (listening) و (writing)

2. صيغة (infinitive) هي (to+verb) مثل: (to play) و (to take) و (to work) و (to listen) و (to write)

3. صيعة (infinitive without to) هي الفعل فقط بدون أي إضافات مثل: (play) و (take) و (work) و (listen) و (write)

أمثلة [Examples]

1. I enjoy playing tennis.
2. I love working at night.
3. I want to play tennis.
4. I decide to work at night.
5. I can play tennis.
6. Let's work at night.

توضيح

لكن السؤال المطروح هنا هو لماذا في بعض الحالات نكتب (verb+ing) و في حالات أخرى (to+verb) و حالات أخرى (verb) فقط؟

الجواب بكل بساطة هي الأفعال أو التعابير التي تأتي وراء الفعل. لاحظ هذه الأمثلة:

إذن أفعال مثل (enjoy+love) دائما يتبعه (verb+ing).

و أفعال مثل (want+decide) دائما يتبعه (to+verb).

و أفعال مثل (let's) دائما يتبعه (verb) فقط.

من طبيعة الحال هناك الكثير من أنواع هذه الأفعال و التعابير و كلها في الصورة أسفله:

تمارين تفاعلية

1.	I am looking forward to (see) you very soon.
2.	Thank you for (be) with us. We appreciate it.
3.	If you finish your work, I will let you (go) out with your friends.
4.	My father promised (buy) me a new phone if I pass the exam.
5.	Just keep (work), I will be back soon.
6.	Many workers are so worried about (lose) their jobs after the crisis.
7.	I am not used to (do) this kind of work. I am so tired mate.
8.	You should always (revise) your lessons before the exam.
9.	I finally managed (start) my online business successfully.
10.	My brother decided (take) part in the political campaign.
11.	He is really a genius. He is so talented in (play) the piano.
12.	I just can't imagine Sally (go) to cinema all alone.
13.	We have agreed (work) in groups in English classes.
14.	You must (rely) on yourself when it comes to home assignments.
15.	He is thinking about (leave) Morocco and work in Europe.

1. She has a bad stomach-ache. She should (see) a doctor.

2. The teacher asked the student to be quiet, but he kept on (talk).

3. We might (travel) somewhere next weekend.

4. They used to (live) in Casablanca. Now they live in Marrakech.

5.I think he would like (stay) with us.

6. I started (collect) stamps many years ago.

7. Would you mind (explain) me this task.

8. My grandfather can't stand (live) in a noisy area.

9. They enjoy (spend) their holidays in Spain.

10. Would you mind (be) quiet?

11. They decided (travel) to Spain this summer.

12. We must (give) youths equal opportunities for education.

13. My little brother is good at (play) computer games.

14. This exercise is easy (do).

15. Yesterday I was driving home. When I saw the accident, I stopped (see) what was happening.

16. Nada must (prepare)) for her exams. So, she stopped chatting with her friends.

17. Can you show me how (use) this mobile?" Youness asked his friend.

18. (read) is my favorite hobby.

19. Your computer is good. You shouldn’t (replace) it.

20. "Would you like (watch) a movie with me?" Sara told her friend.
