Lesson Tow: Breakfast or Lunch

إقرأ النص أسفله مع الإستماع إليه في الملف الصوتي أسفله. و بعدها أنجز تمارين الفهم أسفله.

Why was the writer's aunt surprised? It was Sunday. I never get up early on Sundays. I sometimes stay in bed until lunch time. Last Sunday I got up very late. I looked out at the window. It was dark outside. ‘What a day!’ I thought. ‘It’s raining again.’ Just then, the telephone rang. It was my aunt Lucy. ‘I have just arrived by train.’ She said. ‘I am coming to see you.’
‘But I am still having breakfast.’ I said.
‘What are you doing?’ she said.
‘I am having breakfast.’ I repeated.
‘Dear me,’ she said. ‘Do you always get up so late? It’s one o’clock!’

بعد قراءة النص و الإستماع إليه في الملف الصوتي أعلاه، أجب عن هذه الأسئلة إنطلاقا من النص. خد ورقة و قلم و اكتب أجوبتك على شكل فقرة لكي تتمرن على كتابة خلاصة للنص.

1. Does the writer always get up early on Sundays, or does he always get up late?
2. Did he get up early last Sunday, or did he get up late?
3. Who telephone him?
4. Had she arrived by train or had she come on foot?
5. Was she coming to see him or not?
6. Did he say ‘I am still having breakfast?’ or did he say ‘I am still I bed.’”
7. Was his aunt very surprised or not?
8. What was the time?

نستعمل (adverbs of frequency) للحديث عن كم من مرة نقوم بنشاط ما. في الجدول أعلاه توجد ترجمة لجميع (adverbs of frequency) في الإنجليزية. أما بالنسبة لتكوين الجمل بإستعمال (adverbs of frequency) في اللغة الإنجليزية، فتكون بنية الجمل على الشكل التالي:

1. I always watch television.
2. I usually play video games.
3. I normally take a shower.
4. I often go to cinema with friends.
5. I sometimes revise my lessons with friends.

كما تلاحظ في هذه الأمثلة فموقع (adverbs of frequency) في الجمل يكون بعد الفاعل (subject) مباشرة. يمكنك كتابة بقية الجمل من الجدول.

I. Rewrite the following sentences using the adverbs in brackets.
1. She answers my lessons. (rarely)
2. We work after six o'clock. (never)
3. The shops close on Saturday afternoon. (always)
4. Do you go to work by car? (always)
5. Our teacher collects our copybooks. (frequently)
6. We spend our holiday abroad. (often)
7. I buy presents for my friends. (usually)
8. Do you go to cinema with your friends? (always)
