أهداف الوحدة
1. ينبغي على الطالب أن يكون قادرا على إستعمال المفاهيم الأساسية [Basic concepts] في ميدان اللسانيات [Linguistics] خاصة في [Syntax] و القدرة على تحليل الجمل بنيويا [Syntactic analysis].
محتوى الوحدة
1. المحتوى يتضمن مجموعة من الفصول أهمها:
a) Foundational issues in syntax.
b) Constituent structure.
c) Grammatical functions and case.
d) NP- movement.
e) Wh- movement.
