[2] In developing countries, women work an average of 60 to 90 hours a week. Much of this work is unpaid and done at home: Cleaning, cooking, childcare, and agricultural labour; and young girls account for two-thirds of the 130 million children absent from schools worldwide. Thus, Argan is extremely important, both culturally and socially in Amlen Valley. It is the main source of income for women in that region . Indeed, women are paid 40% less than men for such comparable work; Yet, women in the Tifaouin Ameln Cooperative solve their financial problems by asking for micro-credit loans so that they can start their businesses.
[3] Cooperatives are established in order to reduce feminized poverty, educate women and eventually help empower them. Despite the fact that Amazighs use Argan oil on a daily basis in cooking or for dipping with bread, it has become a luxurious product in Europe, etc.
[4] The biggest challenge of women in the Ameln Cooperative is to secure a stable wage and constant local and international market. Tourists continue to come to the region specifically to buy Argan. Nonetheless, in order to be sustainable and have a positive impact on reducing feminized poverty and creating fair wages, The Tifaouine Ameln Cooperative has to diversify its market.
Justification:
2.There are 150 women in Tifaouine Ameln Cooperative:
